The overworld theme, composed by Koji Kondo, has become a true anthem to adventure, recognisable from the first bar. Heroic and inviting, it drives you to explore and has lost none of its splendour in over thirty years. This founding melody still feeds the entire imagination of the adventure game.

Collector interest

GBA reissue of the very first Legend of Zelda in the Famicom Mini collection, a look back at the founding act of one of Nintendo's greatest sagas, which established open-world exploration and item-based progression. Reissued here as a cartridge in a miniature box reproducing the original packaging, the title keeps its aura of a matrix classic. Its collecting interest rests on this status as the starting point of a major franchise and on the fidelity of the commemorative presentation.

Is Famicom Mini 05 - Zelda no Densetsu 1 - The Hyrule Fantasy still worth playing in 2026?

A GBA reissue of the very first The Legend of Zelda, this Famicom Mini brings back the founding title of open world action adventure. The freedom to explore Hyrule, the search for secrets and the gear based progression defined an entire genre and keep a real aura. The sparse hints and the steep difficulty demand patience, faithful to the 1986 philosophy. For an adventure fan, someone curious about Zelda's roots or a collector, the title keeps a major historical importance and an intact sense of discovery.
