Collector interest

GBA reissue of Balloon Fight in the Famicom Mini collection, a look back at the 1985 Nintendo game with its so characteristic floating physics, whose Balloon Trip mode remains a score classic. Become an affectionate reference, taken up in Smash Bros and Nintendo culture, the title gains aura over time. Reissued in a faithful miniature box, it fits fully into the commemorative line. Its collecting interest rests on this status as a small, durably loved classic and on its belonging to the anniversary series.

Is Famicom Mini 13 - Balloon Fight still worth playing in 2026?

A GBA reissue of the 1985 Balloon Fight, this Famicom Mini offers a singular flight physics where the character, hooked to balloons, flaps to stay aloft and pops those of opponents. The floaty handling, hard to tame, gives it a unique character, rounded out by an excellent, more arcade Balloon Trip mode. The concept rests on little but proves surprisingly gripping. For a fan of offbeat gameplay, someone curious about the Nintendo catalogue or a collector, the title keeps a particular charm and an addictive challenge.
