Released late in 1996, as the Game Gear faded against the Game Boy, the European Fatal Fury Special lands at the very end of the console's life. Published by Takara, this ambitious SNK port saw a reduced PAL run with no active market left. Its desirability rests on that end-of-cycle context and on the scarcity of accomplished SNK fighters on Sega's colour handheld, rather than on its original distribution.
