The visual direction openly breaks tone with the game it follows: bright colours, stage costumes, choreography, and an outfit system that changes the three heroines' appearance in mid-battle. The remaster takes advantage of the screen to render sharp the embroidery and accessories that the original version could only suggest.
Noriko Matsueda and Takahito Eguchi write a pop soundtrack rather than a fresco, funk brass, bass to the fore, songs performed by a female voice that opens and closes the adventure. That much-debated choice is consistent with a story following a stage troupe, and the rare sombre moments fall back to a bare piano.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.
