Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage 2 is the more complete sequel with an expanded roster and more narrative arcs covered. Even more homage for manga faithful. More generous than the first, knowingly niche.

Description
Koei Tecmo Shin Hokuto Musou sequel expanding the Hokuto no Ken roster with new characters. Published by Koei Tecmo, released in Japan in February 2013. Over 20 playable characters from the Hokuto no Ken manga, faithful spectacular finishers, Dream mode with alternative scenarios, destructible environments, and online co-op. Hokuto Musou sequel. Japanese version.
The Japanese and Asian edition of Shin Hokuto Musou, the original form of Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage 2, an Omega Force mass-action game covering the whole Hokuto no Ken manga. As the Japanese cut of a crossover between musou and a cult license, this regional run draws Hokuto no Ken fans keen on the source version. Desirability blends the license's aura with the relative scarcity of the edition.
Is Shin Hokuto Musou still worth playing in 2026?
A beat 'em up from Omega Force, Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage 2 transposes the cult Hokuto no Ken manga into the musou formula, where you cut through hordes of enemies with explosive techniques in a post-apocalyptic world. The fidelity to the manga, the brutal satisfaction of the combos and the generous content covering a large part of the story win over fans. The genre's inherent repetition and an uneven presentation temper the whole. A good beat 'em up for fans of Fist of the North Star and of cathartic musou.
