The interface takes full part in the atmosphere: translucent holographic screens, a city map consulted as an overlay, terminals printing their messages line by line. The exteriors of New Washington stack walkways and lit signs across several planes, while the interiors play on dark flats and cold reflections.
The story advances through sharply separated acts, each with its own rules: surviving in the jungle, earning a place in a hostile city, then taking part in a lethal game show before the return toward Earth. That division gives the journey a very readable progression, where each stage reveals a piece of the conspiracy.
The Japanese edition of Flashback is the local pressing of the Delphine game, distributed by Sunsoft in Japan with a specific domestic cover. Its collector value comes from this regional specificity and from the rarity of the Japanese print run for a rotoscoped Western adventure game.
