Collector interest

The Korean edition of Fossil Fighters, the RPG adventure of unearthing and reviving dinosaurs to battle them, published by Nintendo. Localized for the Korean market alone, where the 3DS stayed niche, it circulates far less than the Western and Japanese versions. The appeal rests on this regional scarcity and on the originality of an uncommon fossil-battling license, sought by local collectors.

A questionable morality

Bringing back to life creatures extinct for millions of years sounds like an endearing scientific feat, until you grasp the real goal: these resurrected dinosaurs mostly exist to pummel each other in the arena for our entertainment. You dig them up, revive them, send them to the front, all with the calm enthusiasm of a slightly over-eager paleontologist.
