The Japanese CD cartridge keeps all the original Japanese voices and the reorchestrated soundtrack. The specials, chains and pacing read as a reference point for 1990s SNK fighters. The art direction stays gorgeous, the soundtrack especially memorable on CD. On Neo Geo CD, between-round waits are noticeable, but the score more than compensates. For 1990s SNK fans and 2D fighter veterans, still a major classic to know today.
