A careful port of the cult cooperative action RPG cabinet. The brawling stays cathartic at four players, levels vary and bosses impress. A great local multiplayer time.

Gauntlet Legends (Dreamcast) price, value & rarity
The NTSC release of Gauntlet Legends shares the franchise's only Dreamcast appearance with an equally short US Midway print. Collector value has been rising for several years as the memory of US Midway 90s arcades is rediscovered by collectors.
Better with friends
A dungeon crawl built for four, where you close ranks against endless hordes, covering each other and yelling "I need health!". Teamwork rules, but the scramble for treasure breeds a comic greed that spices the co-op. Loud and gloriously messy, it's an easy pick for family sessions where you laugh as much as you swing.
Is Gauntlet Legends still worth playing in 2026?
A direct port of the Atari Games cabinet, Gauntlet Legends keeps the friendly four player hack and slash spirit that built its name. Simple classes, item progression and a frantic pace still work well in local play, especially among friends who are not regulars of the genre. Visually dated and technically uneven in places, the game lacks the polish of modern dungeon crawlers but holds a genuine reservoir of charm for casual arcade evenings shared on the couch with friends.
