Fourth Suikoden criticised for its disappointing open naval world and less memorable characters. The 108 Stars are present but pacing and storytelling are weaker. A minor entry that disappoints fans after the excellence of previous games.

Konami's fourth Suikoden, released in 2004 in Japan, with an original seafaring setting but a tighter scope than the third entry. Lazlo and his crew sail the Island Nations seas, in a shorter story criticized for its pacing. Still a worthwhile Suikoden for series fans.
