Gex Enter the Gecko, the second entry in Crystal Dynamics' series, the American NTSC-U version published by BMG Interactive. A more accomplished move to 3D than the first, a solid family platformer with pop-culture humor. A common title in the US with cheap loose: value shows only in sealed (toward 250 EUR), reflecting seal scarcity on a popular yet widely distributed game of its day.

Is Gex - Enter the Gecko still worth playing in 2026?

Gex's move to 3D by Crystal Dynamics, Enter the Gecko brings the TV devouring gecko into worlds parodying small screen genres, from horror films to kung fu clichés. The hero's endless quips, the world variety and the remote collecting structure a colourful adventure typical of the 3D platform era. The fickle camera and dated handling show their age. A talkative, likeable 3D platformer to recommend for nostalgics of mascots and offbeat television humour.
