Difficult and visually striking indie platformer with original parallel-world transformation system. High challenge level, alternating rock/classical music depending on transformation. Less known but excellent alternative to Nintendo platformers.

Is Giana Sisters - Twisted Dreams - Director's Cut still worth playing in 2026?

A platformer from Black Forest Games, Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams rests on a strong design idea: switching between two parallel worlds that transform the scenery, music and the heroine's abilities in real time. This morphing mechanic, the sumptuous art direction and Chris Huelsbeck's soundtrack make it a demanding, original platformer. The high difficulty and the precision required sharpen the adventure. An excellent platform game for fans of challenge and clever level design on Wii U.
