A Game Freak (later Pokémon) JRPG on Game Boy. Classic turn-based combat, plot about a poisoned world, healing management. Pleasant for Game Freak archaeology pre-Pokémon, but the gameplay is very standard for its era. More historical than recommendable, Japan only, for curious collectors.

Collector interest

A Game Freak RPG predating Pokémon, here in its Japan-only Fukkokuban reissue with Super Game Boy support, published by Konami in 1997. The hook is purely archaeological: tracing the studio's lineage before its global breakthrough. The turn-based design is very ordinary, but the Fukkokuban edition, Japan-exclusive and far scarcer than the Famicom original of the concept, draws collectors documenting Game Freak's roots.
