A Konami compilation gathering Parodius and Gokujou Parodius, two horizontal shoot them ups that fondly parody the Gradius series and the studio's whole universe. The wild visual humour, the absurd bestiary and the snappy, highly precise gameplay make them as funny as they are demanding, perfectly converted here. The high challenge and the deliberately wacky aesthetic will not please everyone. An excellent compilation to recommend for fans of horizontal shooting and delightful Japanese self mockery.
