Konami transposes the film's imagery into tableaux of caves and tunnels: wells, pipework, waterfalls, treasure rooms. The captive children to be freed are drawn as small, clearly identifiable sprites behind their doors, and the palette stays muted, which brings out the few coloured objects to collect.
The main theme, arranged from a well-known song, loops from start to finish and becomes inseparable from the game, a radical choice made bearable by its melodic success. The writing stays simple, steady bass and singing line, with a few timbre variations to mark the changes of zone.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.
