Grid 2 drops cockpit view and pushes the arcade tone, which divides the fanbase. Presentation is gorgeous, multiplayer solid, but the simulation feel steps back, leaving this entry less memorable for picky early fans.

Is Grid 2 still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel from Codemasters, Grid 2 steers the formula towards more accessible driving and heightened spectacle, with a new physics model, urban races and a very polished presentation. The accessibility, the clarity of the action and the variety of layouts win over a broad audience. The mainstream turn disappointed fans of the more demanding original, and the absence of a cockpit view sparked debate. A good racer for fans of spectacular driving and accessible arcade sim motorsport.
