The western edition insists on the readability of combat: the player's fire in bright tints cutting clearly against dark backgrounds, weapon modules shown in coded colours, enemy projectiles outlined to stay spottable in the density. The industrial scenery scrolls past without ever encroaching on that visual hierarchy.
The writing favours short motifs, repeated and transposed a semitone as tension rises, a simple device that makes each stage recognisable from its first notes. The bass stays forward and dry percussion marks every change of wave, serving almost as a progress marker.
