This Western compilation gathers two Growlanser games on one disc and strikes by the unity of their craft. Flowered villages, painted world maps, dreamlike creatures and a clean interface share the same anime-fantasy touch, so that moving from one game to the other never breaks the eye. Two distinct adventures, a single coherent visual frame, typical of Career Soft in the early 2000s.
The appeal of this edition owes as much to its translation as to its content. Working Designs, famed for lavish localizations, gives both stories a rich English script laced with its house humor.
