Guitar Hero World Tour officialises the full-band formula with drums and vocals, and it really works. The setlist is varied, the studio mode is genuinely creative and the whole package briefly sets itself up as a Rock Band challenger.

Story
"Classic"
The arrival of vocals and drums forces every song to be rethought: tracks are delivered as separate stems and you hear an instrument vanish as soon as its player drops out, making the mistake collective rather than individual. The game also adds a composition workshop where you write your own songs stem by stem before sharing them.

Is Guitar Hero World Tour still worth playing in 2026?

A multi instrument turning point from Neversoft, Guitar Hero World Tour extends the formula to drums, bass and vocals to rival Rock Band, adding a song creator and a varied tracklist. The completeness of the band experience, the quality of the drums and the creative freedom win over fans. The reliance on dedicated instruments and the end of online services limit access. An excellent musical party game for fans of band rhythm play and lovers of full instrumental sessions.
