A turn based RPG from Electronic Arts, The Lord of the Rings The Third Age follows a group of original heroes whose fates cross those of the Fellowship across the films' locations. The turn based combat system, the learning of enemy skills and the visual fidelity to the film trilogy appeal to fans. The linear structure and a system borrowed from classic JRPGs without much originality cap the whole. A polished RPG for lovers of Middle-earth.
