A mainstream, prettily spectacular Hot Wheels racer. Forty licensed cars, fourteen tracks loaded with loops and wild shortcuts and a genuinely playful toy aesthetic. The driving is very arcade and the content runs a touch lean, but it's a great playground for fans of flashy little cars.

Collector interest

An EA arcade racer under the Hot Wheels licence, October 1999. The trilingual Europe edition (English, French, German) circulated on PAL just as the N64 lost ground to the PlayStation, hence a modest run. Loose prices stay low, but sealed copies climb, since this toy-branded cart was usually pulled straight from the box. Demand comes from Mattel-licence collectors as much as from N64 enthusiasts.

Is Hot Wheels - Turbo Racing still worth playing in 2026?

Hot Wheels - Turbo Racing is an EA fast racing game featuring the licensed Hot Wheels mini-cars on circuits inspired by the brand's toy settings. The aesthetic faithful to the Hot Wheels universe, the sense of speed and tracks packed with loops bring a pleasant arcade outlet, especially for fans of the brand. The loose driving and a modest presentation bound the interest against the genre's benchmarks. For fans of retro arcade racing and the Hot Wheels universe, it is a light, unpretentious diversion.
