Musou in the Zelda universe, an improbable marriage that works surprisingly well. Generous Zelda fan-service, abundant content, fun in short sessions. Less deep than a true Zelda but excellent entertainment for fans of both franchises.

Collector interest

A crossing of Koei Tecmo's musou system with the Zelda universe, in its original form predating the Switch and 3DS reworks. Its collector interest comes from this first-draft status, with its share of Wii U launch content, sought by Zelda fans who set the founding pressing apart from the later, fuller editions. The license's lasting demand supports its value beyond the musou circle alone.

Is Hyrule Warriors still worth playing in 2026?

A musou action game from Koei Tecmo and Nintendo, Hyrule Warriors, released in Japan as Zelda Musou, transposes the Zelda universe into the Dynasty Warriors formula, where you sweep away entire armies through spectacular attacks. Bringing together Link, Zelda and many heroes of the saga, with their iconic weapons, delights fans. The repetition typical of the musou genre and a light story matter little against the joy of release. An excellent action game for musou fans and lovers of the legend of Zelda.
