A more ambitious Track and Field follow-up from Konami. Fifteen disciplines, redone animations and livelier presentation. The frantic button-tapping mechanic still rules, which makes it a delight in evenings with friends and limits its solo value. An effective collective vent.

Is International Track & Field 2000 still worth playing in 2026?

A sequel to Konami's athletics simulation, International Track & Field 2000 expands the number of Olympic disciplines and tends to its graphics, while keeping the heart of the genre, button mashing and timing to the millisecond. The increased variety of events and the multiplayer mode extend the fun, ideal for frantic group sessions. The solo stays limited and the formula very classic. For a retro arcade sports fan, someone nostalgic for Olympic games or a player after snappy duels, the title keeps a convivial fun and a direct effectiveness.
