Iron Helix is a sci-fi adventure on Mega CD with first person infested spaceship exploration. The version intensively uses the CD format for pre rendered 3D cinematics and sound atmosphere in the spatial Myst line. Pleasant for sci-fi adventure fans.

Is Iron Helix still worth playing in 2026?

A sci-fi adventure from Spectrum HoloByte, Iron Helix has you remotely pilot an exploration drone inside a spaceship turned deadly, where you must avoid a security robot while collecting clues and codes. The oppressive mood, the tension of exploration and the use of the Mega-CD's video sequences create a singular climate close to a space thriller. The slow pace and limited playability date the whole. A curiosity for fans of atmospheric adventure and retro exploration games.
