It's Mr. Pants on GBA, Rare's offbeat and original puzzle game. The trouser character in a colorful and well-designed puzzle. Underrated but genuinely enjoyable to discover.

Is It's Mr. Pants still worth playing in 2026?

A puzzle developed by Rare, It's Mr. Pants asks you to drop pieces of varied shapes onto a grid to create coloured squares that vanish and raise the score. The original concept, at the crossroads of Tetris and painting, proves clever and addictive, backed by the studio's offbeat humour and a surprising mascot. The production stays modest and the content a little thin, but the mechanic hooks fast. For a fan of offbeat puzzling, someone curious about the Rare catalogue or a player after a light cerebral challenge, the title keeps a singular charm.
