Collector interest

This single-volume Tolkien RPG landed late in the SNES cycle in 1994 for North America, and the NTSC print run stayed modest. Complete-in-box copies with the Middle-earth map and thick manual rarely survive clean, since the licensed cardboard packaging warped easily. Interest comes from Western-RPG collectors and Tolkien fans more than SNES purists. A flat, unwarped box with manual intact carries the NTSC value, with sealed graded copies the true shelf piece.
