The game presents itself as a championship, with its competitor portraits, ranking screens and weapon wheel overlaid on the display.

Designed for multiplayer over the PS2 network, this spin-off dresses its races in a sports-show sound bed: tense pads rising over the laps, engine roars and weapon impacts folded into the mix, the feel of a duel broadcast live.
