The Japanese version of Jersey Devil, released as Jersey Devil no Daibouken, a 3D adventure platformer with an impish devil and light gothic aesthetics. As the genre was less favored on the machine in Japan, this local run was smaller, making it the sought variant for collectors of Japanese editions of Western platformers. Desirability blends the title's quiet charm with the scarcity of this regional pressing.

Is Jersey Devil no Daibouken still worth playing in 2026?

A 3D platformer from Behaviour, Jersey Devil casts a winged vigilante creature cleaning up a small American town overrun by mutant vegetables, in a Halloween cartoon mood. The blend of platforming, exploration and combat and the wacky art direction give the adventure a certain charm. The temperamental camera and dated handling typical of early 3D weigh today. An endearing platformer for fans of 32 bit mascots and offbeat humour curiosities.
