Is JuJu Densetsu still worth playing in 2026?
The Japanese version of Toki, JuJu Densetsu sends a hero turned into an ape spitting projectiles to defeat an evil sorcerer across colourful, exotic levels. The cartoon humour, the zany bestiary and the snappy shoot platforming gameplay carry an adventure faithful to the cabinet, well done on Mega Drive. The difficulty stays tough and the concept original. For a fan of arcade licensed retro platforming or someone curious about Japanese conversions of Toki, the title keeps an offbeat charm and a direct pleasure.
