The piloted mech takes an unusual place on screen: massive, articulated, it pivots slowly and moves with a visible inertia readable in every animation frame. Around it, space and planetary battlefields pile up wrecks, metal structures and allied units, in a palette of military greys and blues.
Target Earth is the NTSC edition of the Telenet/Renovation game, the American version of the Japanese Juusou Kihei Leynos. Its collector value comes from this unique US naming and from the fact that the cartridge is one of the hardest Telenet/Renovation productions to track down complete in box, a segment where few Japanese mecha-action titles were officially ported to Genesis.
