Each transformation imposes its material: a rock creature whose joints reveal lava, a climbing plant with unrolling stems, a translucent ice being that leaves a trail of frost. The contrast with the heroine, a small elf silhouette in light colors, produces at every change a gap in scale and texture visible in an instant.
A console launch title, the game affords itself a recorded symphony orchestra and a choir, with themes assigned to realms rather than to characters: fortress brass for the trolls, strings and harp for elven lands, percussion for the caves. The pitched-battle scenes, where hundreds of figures appear, receive the only truly massive piece of the whole.

Kameo - Elements of Power (Xbox 360) price, value & rarity
A Rare action-adventure, one of the Xbox 360's launch titles, showing off the console's capabilities through its colorful transformations. Printed widely as a launch software, it stays accessible and lightly priced. Its collector interest lies in its status as an early-console game by Rare rather than manufacturing scarcity.
Is Kameo - Elements of Power still worth playing in 2026?
Released in 2005 on Xbox 360, Rare's Kameo Elements of Power is a charming launch title where the heroine transforms into elemental warriors to solve combat and puzzles. Each form, from the fire dragon to the carnivorous plant, brings distinct abilities that renew exploration and fights. The colourful, fairytale art direction showcases the console's early graphical abilities. The structure and pace show their age a little. But the inventiveness and charm remain. For fans of family action adventure and the curious about the Rare catalogue, this overlooked title keeps a real interest today.
