Collector interest

The original Japanese version of Klonoa, a 2.5D platformer whose dreamlike art direction and moving ending built a hidden-classic reputation. This native edition, predating the Western releases, appeals to those wanting the first pressing of this Namco gem in its original language. Its local run supports a high value, in line with the scarcity of the Western version.

An underrated gem

A 2.5D platforming masterpiece that few bought at launch, it enchants with its fairy-tale settings, its long-eared hero and an ending of emotional intensity rare in the genre. Poorly sold despite the praise, it remained cult yet confidential. Its poetry and flawless handling make it a must for anyone who loves the tender platformer.

Is Kaze no Klonoa - Door to Phantomile still worth playing in 2026?

Klonoa - Door to Phantomile, known as Kaze no Klonoa in Japan, is an absolute 2.5D platformer masterpiece by Namco. Surprisingly emotional narration, ingenious enemy-grab-and-throw gameplay and sublime art direction make for an experience of rare tenderness. The ending remains one of PS1's most moving, Kanako Kakino's score sticky. Klonoa and Huepow etch their place in memory. An absolute peak today.
