King of Fighters 2001, the last SNK entry before the company's bankruptcy. The Strikers Tactical Order system is modified. Nostalgic and historically significant for franchise fans, even if gameplay is slightly below the series' best entries.

Description
The fourth and final entry in the NESTS Saga branch, released in arcades in 2001 and ported to PS2 in 2003 (Japan, US, Korea). The roster grows to 44 characters and the Striker (assist) formula reaches its peak with four customizable slots. A lukewarm arcade reception, but a cult favorite among purists.
