The shift to a top-down view entirely changes the series' presentation: the characters, drawn in short proportions and seen at three-quarters, move through open scenery in soft colours, villages, plains and caverns. The three protagonists are told apart by silhouette and palette, which stays legible even when all three fill the screen.
The series' sung language and rounded timbres are kept, but the writing moves closer to role-playing: settled melodic village themes, more rhythmic battle pieces, character motifs assigned to the three protagonists. That adaptation to a different genre happens without any perceptible break from the established sonic identity.
