The isometric perspective imposes its own vocabulary: houses seen at three quarters, diagonal staircases, floating platforms whose height must be judged by eye. Climax peoples this world with colourful villages, mineral caverns and dense forests, with round, expressive character sprites.
Motoi Sakuraba writes an adventure soundtrack of highly identifiable melodies, each village and each dungeon receiving its own motif. The harmonies are richer than the genre average on the machine, with chord progressions that lend an almost symphonic colour to the exploration passages.
Complete: box, manual and disc/cart very clean. Lightly handled.

The NTSC edition of Landstalker is the American version of the Climax Entertainment/Sega game, an isometric action-RPG created by Yoshitaka Kitao. Its collector value comes from the cult status of the game among Climax fans and from the fact that the US cartridge has become one of the main targets of Genesis RPG collectors since production ended.
