Is Laplace no Ma still worth playing in 2026?
A horror RPG with an unusual atmosphere, set in a haunted 1920s mansion where a team of investigators faces ghosts and supernatural phenomena. The Lovecraftian tone and Western setting break from the classic Japanese fantasy of the era. The system stays stiff and exploration fairly dry, but the mood makes all the difference. Best kept for fans of atypical Japanese RPGs and retro horror, provided they read Japanese.
