Last Battle adapts the Hokuto no Ken manga to Mega Drive with its post apocalyptic warrior facing enemy hordes. The art direction respects the manga but pacing stays slow and animation rigid. Pleasant for Hokuto no Ken fans, in the lower middle of 16 bit manga tie ins.

Last Battle, the European version of the Mega Drive adaptation of Fist of the North Star, stripped of its manga licence for the Western release. This post-apocalyptic brawler is notable above all for that disguise: where the original showed Ken the warrior, Europe discovered an anonymous hero. Its desirability lies in that localisation curiosity and fans' interest in the changes forced upon anime ports in the console's early days.
