The first LEGO Star Wars, Traveller's Tales kicking off the formula at last. Prequel universe rebuilt in bricks, lovely local co-op and constant visual humour. A little short and easy, yet the magic is already there. A neat family revolution.

There is something jubilant and familiar about hearing John Williams's themes accompany the brick-built antics. The Imperial March and the heroic flights, faithfully orchestrated, lend the adventure an unexpected grandeur. This marriage of myth and humour still hits home today.

Is LEGO Star Wars - The Video Game still worth playing in 2026?

A pioneer of the famous LEGO formula, this first entry revisits the Star Wars prequels with humour, in bricks and without dialogue, betting on pantomime and the knowing wink. The adventure blends lightsaber combat, cooperative puzzles and generous collecting, all with exemplary accessibility. The production has aged a little next to the more polished sequels, but the charm and the two player fun stay intact. For a Star Wars fan, a family player or someone curious about the LEGO series's beginnings, the title stays recommendable.
