Is LEGO The Lord of the Rings still worth playing in 2026?
An action adventure from TT Games, LEGO The Lord of the Rings adapts Tolkien's trilogy into the LEGO mould, where the Fellowship of the Ring crosses Middle-earth in a vast semi open world, between exploration, cooperative puzzles, combat and the series' proper visual humour. The fidelity to the films, enriched with the original dialogue, the scope of the world and the crafting make up a particularly successful epic, family adventure. The portable version makes some technical compromises. For a Tolkien fan, a young player or a fan of co-op LEGO games, the title keeps a preserved charm, scope and humour.
