Lightning Returns closes the FFXIII trilogy with a garment-based action system and an inexorable clock that pushes efficiency. A divisive yet original FF, but Lightning carries the journey with melancholic grace that lands right in the heart.

Bolder and more eclectic, the score by Naoshi Mizuta, Masashi Hamauzu and Mitsuto Suzuki blends orchestra, rock, electro and pop singing in a surprising sonic kaleidoscope. Each theme dares unexpected stylistic turns that embrace the story's time travel. This singular musical generosity gives this sequel a strong, original identity.

Lightning Returns - Final Fantasy XIII (Xbox 360) price, value & rarity
The Japanese version of Lightning Returns - Final Fantasy XIII, the trilogy's conclusion with its costume-based action system and relentless clock, released on Xbox 360 in Japan. A Final Fantasy on a console marginal in the archipelago stays atypical, and this local pressing was made in far smaller quantity than on the rival console. Desirability rests on this scarcity of a Japanese FF on 360 and on the appeal to completists of the FFXIII saga.
