Story

"Solid"
Everything seems sewn, glued, handcrafted: fabrics, cardboard and buttons give this world an irresistibly tactile texture. Sackboy and his patchwork settings breathe the warmth of craft rather than that of pixels. This handmade aesthetic, soft and inventive, remains of rare originality on the machine.
Eclectic and warm, the soundtrack blends jazz, world, electro and licensed tracks in a joyful patchwork of irresistible whimsy. Each world has its own sonic colour, underlining the handmade, good-natured spirit of the game. This musical generosity, creative and sunny, instantly lifts the mood.

Clearing levels brimming with ideas, then dropping into a workshop that lets you create anything opens an endless loop between playing, tinkering and sharing. Every find from the community revives your curiosity and the itch to try your own. The occasionally floaty controls grate, but the creative generosity and the flood of fresh levels keep an almost inexhaustible freshness.

"Massive"
Creating your own levels as much as playing through them sets up a game loop with no real end, where players' imagination feeds a constant stream of content. Building, sharing and exploring the community's creations extends the adventure indefinitely. That creative generosity, a series mark, founds a longevity platforming and creation fans cherish.

Collector interest
An adaptation tailored to the Vita, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita uses the touchscreen and camera to enrich Sackboy's creation and platforming. Fairly common in Europe, its interest lies mainly in this careful transposition of a beloved license to handheld rather than scarcity. An affordable piece for fans of creative platforming and community play.
Better with friends
A mischievous platformer as much as a creation workshop, where you cross hand-crafted levels together before designing your own. Cooperation dominates, built on helping each other through tricky stretches, but a pinch of competition sneaks into the scrambles for bonuses. Online sharing of creations may have shrunk over time, yet the side-by-side adventure keeps an inventive, good-natured charm.
Is LittleBigPlanet PS Vita still worth playing in 2026?
A Vita adaptation of the famous Sony platformer, LittleBigPlanet PS Vita offers a 2D adventure where Sackboy traverses creative levels with cooperative mode for up to four players and powerful level editor. The adorable art direction, accessible handling and creative community make it an absolute platformer reference on Vita. For anyone fond of LittleBigPlanet or seeking a creative portable platformer, a warm recommendation still valid today without any hesitation on the Sony portable machine for fans truly here indeed for any returning newcomer.
