EA adaptation of the Return of the King film, German release. Beefy beat 'em up replaying the big battles, heroic roster and very satisfying local co-op. Staging stays faithful to the film, runtime is decent. Arguably the best Lord of the Rings tie-in of the era.

The combat system stays simple but nervy, the unlockable characters like Gandalf or Aragorn and the faithfulness to film imagery still charm today. Visually dated by now, the title keeps a real reserve of charm for fans of the cinema trilogy and for lovers of old school cooperative beat them ups with a strong licence today still.
