EA RPG in the Tolkien universe with original characters following the Fellowship. The accessible turn-based combat and well-rendered trilogy atmosphere will please film fans wanting an RPG experience. Less deep than major RPGs but honourable for a tie-in.

The Korean edition of The Lord of the Rings - The Third Age, a variant of EA's turn-based RPG distributed locally on the wave of the trilogy's popularity in Korea. As a role-playing game more demanding than the action adaptations, it reached a narrower audience and was pressed in moderate quantity. Desirability rests on the scarcity of the Korean pressing and on the appeal, for licence completists, of a distinct regional variant.
