The remake had only a quiet release in the region, so complete US copies are scarcer than their reputation suggests for a Game Arts title. Favored by Western fans who want the English script and voice work, it remains a more affordable entry point into the saga than the Japanese version.

Lunar Legend is a GBA port of Game Arts' JRPG, in which Alex dreams of matching the legendary Dragonmaster and sets off on an adventure with his friends across the world of Lunar. The warm story, endearing characters and turn-based combat system keep an undeniable classic charm. This version, however, condenses the original content and loses the animated scenes and voice acting that built its reputation. For fans of retro JRPGs and Lunar, it is a pleasant portable gateway, if not the definitive version.
