Madden NFL 07 bets on the ground game with its new Highlight Stick mechanic, which rewards well read runs, and refines the Superstar mode centred on a player's career. The sim stays solid and the NFL licence still impeccable, but the vintage brings few major newcomers. The weight of years shows against current games. For a fan of the licence or a lover of old style sports management, the title keeps a measured interest, mostly as a collection complement.
