This alchemy RPG transposes the house synthesis into a school setting. The art direction unfolds the Al-Revis Academy in a bright anime style: a perched campus, workshops where retorts bubble, classrooms and a courtyard peopled with a gallery of colorful students. Uniforms, cauldrons and cute creatures compose a spruce world, where learning the ancestral art takes on the air of a cheerful student life.
Younger and livelier than the house norm, the soundtrack bets on zest. Catchy battle themes with pop-rock guitars, school-life melodies full of pep, easy-to-remember choruses: Gust's sound team trades the Atelier series' usual gentleness for a more teenage energy, keyed to the game's brisk rhythm. This infectious drive accompanies the syntheses and classes with a constant good cheer.
The story follows Vayne, a young man raised in isolation with only a cat for company, who enrolls at the Al-Revis Academy and forms his first friendships there. Beneath the school comedy smolders a graver theme: Vayne slowly learns the truth about his own existence, born of a peculiar magic.

Mana Khemia - Alchemists of Al-Revis (PS2) price, value & rarity
Is Mana Khemia - Alchemists of Al-Revis still worth playing in 2026?
A Gust alchemy RPG, Mana Khemia Alchemists of Al-Revis transposes the Atelier formula into an academy where you attend classes, synthesise items and weave bonds with classmates between explorations. The addictive crafting loop, the warm school mood and the link based combat system make it an endearing, original RPG. The measured pace and the repetitive side of gathering call for patience. An alchemy RPG to recommend for fans of crafting, student life and a gentle Japanese atmosphere.
