Sixth entry leaning on a day and night cycle to refresh the experience. Cute idea, boards a touch less inspired than the previous one, mini games still effective. Microphone compatible for a few rounds. A notch below Mario Party 5 but still a good time.

Collector interest

Sixth entry built around a day-night cycle that alters the minigames, shipped with a microphone for voice challenges. Its collector interest stands out through that original accessory: a copy judged complete must include the mic, often lost, making the full version trickier to gather than other Mario Party games. The European edition, with a less plentiful PAL pressing, is all the more prized as the original mic vanishes quickly from second-hand boxes. Value rises both for the game and for the complete set with peripheral, sought by careful collectors.

Is Mario Party 6 still worth playing in 2026?

The sixth entry in the series, Mario Party 6 adds a day-night cycle that alters how minigames and the board play out, plus a microphone bundled with the game for voice challenges. The day-night idea brings some freshness and the mic offers fun if gimmicky minigames. The core of the experience stays the same, shining in multiplayer and limited solo. A polished party game, worth recommending to fans of the series after festive variety rather than a deep overhaul.
