Moving along a board, grabbing stars and fighting over them in an avalanche of mini-games: the party begins here, and the chaotic spirit is irresistible from the off. Luck jostles skill, friendships waver and every turn brings its share of shouts and belly laughs. With four players, a guaranteed evening where nobody sits out.
The first Mario Party in the US NTSC edition, released a month ahead of Europe in 1999. The opposite profile to the PAL release: loose values run noticeably higher (the rotating-stick gameplay wore out controllers and thinned clean copies), while sealed examples stay more attainable than in Europe thanks to a far larger initial run on the American market.
