Action RPG gathering dozens of Marvel heroes in an enjoyable co-op adventure. Group combat gameplay with varied powers is satisfying. Less deep than a true RPG but excellent as a Marvel fan-service experience. Ideal for multiplayer sessions among comics fans.

Is Marvel - Ultimate Alliance still worth playing in 2026?

An action RPG from Raven Software, Marvel Ultimate Alliance gathers a vast roster of Marvel heroes in a top down hack and slash adventure, playable up to four, where you build your team and level up your characters. The thrill of the crossover, the snappy co-op and the collection of iconic heroes make for an ideal multiplayer vent. The repetition over time and a dated PS2 production cap the interest. A superhero hack and slash to recommend for Marvel fans and multiplayer co-op.
