Marvel four-player co-op action RPG, roster of twenty-two playable Marvel heroes (X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four). Isometric beat-em-up combat with special abilities and team combos, story centered on Doctor Doom and Loki. Loot and light progression, plenty of fan service. Wii presentation inferior to HD versions, but family local co-op shines. Solid Marvel blast for fans.

Is Marvel - Ultimate Alliance still worth playing in 2026?

An action RPG from Raven Software, Marvel - Ultimate Alliance gathers a vast roster of Marvel super heroes, from the Avengers to the X-Men, in a cooperatively playable adventure where you form a team of four fighters to defeat an alliance of villains, with spectacular powers and levelling up. The generosity of the cast, the depth of customisation and the pleasure of cooperation appeal to comics fans and hack and slash fans. The repetitiveness of the clashes may weigh. For a Marvel fan or a fan of cooperative action RPGs, the title keeps a preserved generosity and fun.
